Owners benefit by gaining confidence in their dogs ability to behave

“Memphis was in the yard when she spotted a skunk. She took off running to introduce herself. I frantically called and she turned on a dime and came running back to me. She was 5 feet from the skunk when I called. That makes all the training worthwhile.” Mimi Koza, Junction City Oregon’

See Memphis in action in this video she is the black and white dog in the video learning to come when called.

dog-come-eugene“Debbie, This is a picture of Kramer sprinting to me last week after being called to come. It was such a joy to have a dog at the coast that I could let off leash and know that he would come when called. We both had a great time! I was so proud of him and all he has accomplished through training!” Ali Hilsher, Eugene Oregon’

malyshka“Hi Debbie, I want to thank you for all you are doing to help me and my fellow dog lovers to provide a structured, safe, and loving environment for our four legged friends! Malyshka and I are really enjoying our training sessions and we are both growing in confidence.

Malyshka is so happy with her new whip toy! And the best part is that it is very easy on me. I was able to almost wear her out without putting any strain on my back. Thanks for introducing us to this great toy. Cheers,”Alayne Switzer, Eugene Or. 1/9/15

cali“I recently took Cali shopping at a couple of local pet stores. She did great walking through the stores and parking lot despite the many possible distractions. The people working at the second store praised her for being so well behaved. Your classes have made something I never thought possible, a reality. The field trips we took were so helpful in building my confidence with having her in public. ” Amy Shadell   10/29/15

Owners  use what they learn in real life situations

Joey“I’ve been meaning to e-mail you about a success story! It was early evening not long after Peter had gotten home. He had taken Joey for a walk already but he was still a bit wound up. He jumped up once but never put his feet on Peter. Then he sat down and gave Peter that look. The look that always says to me “Watch Out! I’m about to charge you” Peter saw it and from about 3 feet away looked at Joey and just said “down”. Joey hit the deck without hesitation and just waited for his next instruction. This is truly awesome! He went from nearly out of control to within control with one word. His training is really starting to sink in. I know long term this behavior of charging will stop altogether.”Carla Bowers, Creswell Oregon

Zelly-“More bragging on my Zelly; today she had her first vet visit for the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study she is in, she had to go in fasting for 12 hours and I gave her a bath this morning also, so no playing outside or exercise before leaving. I thought “this is going to be interesting–a hungry, energetic dog whom I will not be able to lure with treats to behave?”. No worries! My girl so impressed me, walked well, sat and waited at the doors, sat on the scale, and sat and lied down at the appropriate times during the exam, and for our checkout. She even made friends with two other dogs without jumping or getting over excited. Thank you Debbie, she’s on her way due to your guidance.”Christa Kerns, Springfield Oregon

Ruby“Debbie, We want to thank for all the hard work you have done with us and with Ruby.  We were at Gray’s Garden Center and asked if we could  bring our dog in.  They said “of course”.  Ruby shined.  We got two complements.  One member of the staff even said “what a well behaved dog” we had.  We never thought we’d see the day that Ruby would be perceived as well behaved! Thanks,” Chip, Chris and Ruby Moulds, Eugene Or. 6/1/15

Monti“It’s amazing I can take Monti anywhere and he is such a well mannered boy! Here he is sitting with me at Jamba Juice enjoying the sights. I can’t help but give you credit for teaching me how to read and respect my dog. Thank you!”Susan Kunkle Eugene Or 6/14/15

“Just had to share with you. I walk with Diesel everyday. After you gave me the loose leash walker it has really been easier to walk with him Thank You for that. We Dieselusually see cats, squirrels and other small animals. Today I wasn’t paying attention and a cat showed up about 5 feet from us and I was able to redirect Diesel with the treats. A couple treats and he just came right along with me on the walk and didn’t pay attention to the cat after that, Then 3 blocks later a lady came out between a couple cars and just stood there we walked up and told her we were in training she asked if she could pet him and I told her only if he was sitting.  He sat down and stayed in that position.  The lady stood and petted him for quite awhile then we moved on. Diesel just came along fine. I want you to know that is totally different then before we started with you and I was so excited it made my day. Thank you all the help training Diesel and I. I am having so much fun.” Darlene Satchell, Springfield Or 7/1/15

Our training reduces frustration

Bodhi_tired“I wanted to share with you our big success with Bodhi. We went to Hideaway Bakery for Sunday breakfast and brought Bodhi with us. He was such a gentleman and heeled nicely going into the patio area. Bodhi calmly navigated the crowded tables, filled with people and their children. He stayed in a down while we ate, even when a waitress carrying plates full of food walked behind him! The one thing he got up for was when he realized another dog was standing close to him (within 5 feet), but he did not pull on the leash. This is such a huge improvement from four months ago when I was nearly in tears because he would not quit pulling on his leash while walking at a busy park. Thank you so much for your consistent guidance and for making the training fun! I am confident in my skills for handling Bodhi and am happy with all that he has learned, too! I appreciate, too, the opportunities to continue to learn and improve our skills.” With gratitude, Darcy, Howard, and Bodhi, Eugene Oregon

Our Training Increases Bonding

Sully“I wanted to say thanks for reminding me last night about my first class with Sully. It made me reflect again about how far he has come in the last couple of months. I don’t know how much I have shared with you but before we started training with you Sully and I hadn’t really bonded. I fell in love with him instantly but I don’t think he really trusted me for the first couple of months I had him. And then after that first week of class with you he finally responded to my attempts at affection and now he cuddles with me and shows affection all the time. In addition to Sully being more well behaved, I feel like training with you and the structure it provides has really helped us bond in a way that I am truly grateful for. Nora Cronin, Eugene Or. 6/25/15

Zoey“Thank you “Debbie! I loved the class. I appreciate your feedback in class and love the course corrections live. It’s very helpful, and always welcome! I have never had the pleasure of training a puppy. It is important to me that she is an exceptionally happy, well-behaved member of our family. Your comments and recommendations to tether her to me to help with additional bonding like they do with service dogs is exactly the additional touch I love and need. You have shown me that I absolutely, without a doubt, made the right choice in you. With gratitude, Tiffany Rogers, Eugene Oregon 9/24/15

Our training reduces your stress because dangerous situations can be avoided

oliver“I have been working with Oliver here and there on getting him to drop objects he has in his mouth. Today I saw him come out of the bathroom because someone didn’t close the door and I could tell he had something in his mouth. So I cued him to drop it and he dropped a razor blade right into my hand! Thank you for teaching me these wonderful skills”Ryan Waterman, Springfield Oregon

Ace“Debbie, Thank you for being an easy-going dog trainer. You take a lot of the stress off of being a dog owner! I will be sure to recommend your classes to any one looking for behavior changes or new tricks for their beloved pets.”

Our training makes dogs more sociable

dexter“Dexter visited albertsons today – He did awesome as people entered and exited the store and with dogs in the parking lot. No barking! He was slightly excited but still no barking. Yay dexter! & thank you Debbie!!”Jenn Templin, Springfield Oregon

Chloe“I just wanted to stop and take the time to thank you for all your help. I am certainly aware that I have put in a lot of work, but without your guidance, I know Dave and I just wouldn’t have the same wonderful dog that we have now. Even her behavior in the comfort of her own home is changing remarkably… she’s quieter, more relaxed… and more likely to spend all day sleeping on her bed! 🙂 In general, it’s fantastic to se the shift in her personality that demonstrates how much she has benefited from this special training. None of this would have been possible without your help.” Jennifer Smith, Eugene Oregon

chester

“Remember Chester, with his dog and people challenges? We’ve continued working with him sincewe took your class, and we are so pleased! We had a visit from my Dad, who Chester tried to bite last time he visited. By the end of the week Chester was snuggling and kissing his nose! I am so proud I just had to tell you.” Ann Eugene Or

Garbo“Hi Debbie,
Garbo has done beautifully yesterday and today. At first her body language reflected her concern on first spotting a large dog, but she allowed herself to be engaged by our game and treats and I really felt she was making a choice to go with the fun side of life. Her body language became more relaxed, and, yippee, then she’d bounce and leap (really) away with me and completely focus on our catch-the-treat game. Loving it! I’m so proud of her and thankful for these methods and optimistic that she’s going to be able to participate in many more of our outings soon. Thank you!”  Chery Karsten, Eugene Or. 10/6/15
