What happened to my friendly dog?

A lot of people wonder why their dog is fearful or aggressive? Nothing terrible has happened. And indeed, that could be the case. Or it could be your dog has been maturing, you have been missing its communication signals that indicate it is stressed out. As dogs develop, they change. Just like us, they start taking things more seriously. They recognize more things are dangerous. And they act accordingly.
Now many people are going to think the solution is to socialize their dog more. But it’s not. Once this problem exists, your dog needs more control over its environment than what socialization provides. So instead, a system of training called desensitization with counter conditioning is used to change those emotions to relaxation or calmness.

• reduce your dog’s overall stress. And just like you, once you diminish your dog’s overall stress, it will be able to learn better.

Step 2 – And when your dog graduates go into Level 2, where we use the games your dog learned in level to teach your dog happy, relaxed emotions in association with the things that upset it.
